Online execution of test platform for POPAN

This page will allow you to submit a job for the test platform for POPAN.

Note that much of the functionality of POPAN has been incorporated into a module of MARK which is a comprehensive, visually based, program from the analysis of mark-recapture data.

How to submit a job

  1. Create an ascii file on your home machine according to the file format listed here.

  2. Copy the file into the clipboard and paste into the input box below.

  3. Press the submit button.

  4. A page will be returned with the output from the program.
No error checking is done on the input file so if thing don't work out it may be due to a formatting error

Here are some sample files for you to try:

  1. Grey seals - two groups, using model keywords
  2. Grey seals - two groups, using PIM
  3. Grey seals - two groups, using PIM and design matrix
  4. Coho - two groups, some zero counts
  5. Age models - two groups
  6. European dippers - using individual capture histories
  7. Voles - the classical dataset showing how to stack many sets of models
  8. Gulls - data set used to estimate breeding proportions in our Biometrics paper

Please contact Carl Schwarz if you run into problems.

Paste the commands in the box below and then press SUBMIT.

After pressing submit, it may take up to 30 seconds for a response for small problems - longer for larger problems If you are using SAFARI as a web browser, you will find that your browser times out after 60 seconds. Do a search using Google for SafariNoTimeout to find a utility to reset the timeout limit to 10 minutes (or longer).
