Math 251 Lecture 01: Wednesday, September 8th 1999.
After a brief introduction, and a presentation of the course outline,
we talked about three dimensional coordinate systems, which is
the subject of section 11.1 of the textbook.
Right-handed coordinate systems were defined and the 3-dimensional
pythagorean theorem was presented, which in turn led us to the equation
for a sphere. 3-D graphs of x=1, y=1 and z=1 were shown to be planes.
