Math 251 Lecture 13: Friday, October 8th 1999.
After handing back the marked mid-term exams, and discussing the
mark distribution, we started in on chapter 12.
Functions of serveral variables were defined. Domains,
ranges, and graphs were explored. Examples of 3-D graphs and
level curves (contour plots), were shown in Maple.
3-D Animations were demonstrated in
Maple, as a way of dealing with functions of 3 variables.
