Math 251 Lecture 30: Monday, November 22nd 1999.
We continued with the discussion of Jacobians and
coordinate transformations from Friday's lecture. In order to
illustrate the concepts, an example was worked out in detail and the
coordinate lines were plotted in Maple.
Finally, chapter 13 was left behind, and the concepts of scalar
fields and vector fields were introduced.
