    • 5 for completing the textbook problems
    • 5 for completing the Maple problems

  • Sec. 1.5 #22: 5
    • Most students that did not come to the lab got 0 or 2 because they apparently did not know what "if and only if" means nor what "row equivalent" means.

  • Maple Exercise #5: 5
    • Most students tried to construct A^(-1) and not A as had been asked. A^(-1) got at most 2/5 depending on how close they got and how well presented the work was.
    • In the future, please indicate which question is which and add a few comments as to what you are doing. Most students handed in a string of calculations that did not indicate any real understanding.
