Confidentiality of marks in Math 251
We take the following steps to ensure your confidentiality, while at the
same time providing you with regular information regarding your progress:
Homework:
- Marked homework can be picked-up in your tutorials. Please record your
name, course, and assignment number on the front page
of your homework. Record your student number on the second
page. Your marks will also be recorded on the second page.
This will decrease the likelihood that someone else will obtain your
student number or your marks.
Posting of Marks:
- Your marks will be posted regularly to http://gradebook.cs.sfu.ca/.
This is a secure web site run by the School of Computing Science at
SFU. You will require a user
name and password in order to view your marks.
Mid-Term Exam Pickup:
- You will need to present your SFU ID card in order to pick up
your mid-term exam.
Final Exam Viewing:
- You may not keep your final exam, but you will be able to view it in my
office upon presentation of your SFU ID card.
Alternate Arrangements:
- The following alternate arrangements can be made:
- You may elect to have your homework picked up from me during my
office hours.
- You my elect to have your homework mailed to you in a
self-addressed, stamped envelope, which you attach to your homework, and
for which you ensure there is sufficient postage.
If you wish to make either of these alternate arrangements, please notify me
in writing.
