This second part of the introductory Calculus sequence deals with Integration and Summation. Simply stated, Integration is the reverse procedure of differentiation, the subject of Math 154, just like addition is the reverse of subtraction. If you would like to read on, check out my Calculus for Dummies page.
I will try to spend more time on the subject of differential equations, which is central to modeling and many application areas of biological mathematics.
I hope I can convince you that calculus had not been invented
to torture students or their instructors.
Good luck, and enjoy!
