About
me:
I am an associate professor in the applied and computational mathematics
group of the
Department of Mathematics
at
Simon Fraser University in Burnaby,
near
Vancouver in
"beautiful
British Columbia".
Upcoming teaching:
- Summer 2017: MATH 470 - Calculus of
Variations (PDF
promo)
- Fall 2017: MATH 310 - Introduction
to Differential Equations
- Fall 2017: APMA 922 - Numerical
Solutions of Partial Differential Equations
- Spring 2018: MATH 462 - Fluid
Dynamics
Research:
My research interests are in the analysis and computation of dynamical
systems, with a particular focus on pattern-forming partial differential
equations displaying complex spatiotemporal behaviour, and on scaling in
turbulent transport. I am also interested in other dynamical
models, especially in mathematical epidemiology.
