We compute the solution of the Incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for two fluids, oil and water, and compare our results to experiments and theoretical models of oil spreading under ice in water. We use an adaptive level set method for computing the two fluid flow. Factors such as viscosity, surface tension, and wall adhesion are taken into account in our computations.
