It is observed experimentally that the magnetization in ferromagnetic materials does not have a uniform direction, but rather it varies from one region to another on a macroscopic scale. These configurations correspond to local minima of the energy. In this talk I will present some simulations that produce patterns with strong resemblances to both the theoretically predicted structures and to the experimentally observed ones.
