Student Travel Supplements for the SSC/WNAR/IMS 2001 Meeting: (En francais)

The Program Committee of the SSC/WNAR/IMS 2001 and the Biostatistics Section of the SSC are pleased to annouce that there will be several travel supplements for students to attend the SSC/WNAR/IMS 2001 scientific meeting, June 10-14 at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, B.C. All full-time students are eligible, but priority will be given to students giving a poster presentation, a talk in a Contributed or Invited Paper Session, participating in a Case Study Session, or participating in the WNAR Student Paper competition. Up to $500 CAN will be given per award, for reimbursement of travel costs for attending the SSC/WNAR/IMS 2001 conference.

Interested students are asked to send their request for travel supplements with a letter from their supervisor, Graduate Officer or Department Chair confirming their full-time student status, their complete mailing address, their e-mail address and a copy of their abstract (if applicable) to Dr. John Koval before April 1st, 2001. The travel supplements will be awarded with consideration to the order in which the requests are received, with a view to representation from several universities, and to students at a distant location from the meeting site.
