Math 152 -- Calculus II

Homework January 3, 2001

All assignments are due on Thursdays except for the first assignment (due on Friday, Jan 12, 3:30 p.m.), and the sixth assignment (due on Wednesday, Feb 21, 6:00 p.m.). No homework is due in the week of a midterm exam.

Assignments must be handed in each Thursday no later than 6:20 p.m. in the Calculus Workshop AQ 4110.
We cannot accept assignments submitted by Fax or electronic mail!
You must hand in your assignment with a typed Cover sheet which must contain your full name, your student ID, the course number (MATH 152), and the number of the Assignment (the assignment number may be handwritten). See an example of such a cover sheet in PostScript or PDF format. There is also a "Rich Text Format" file Cover_Example.rtf which you can download and modify.

Your homework score is based on the best 7 (seven) out of 11 assignments. The purpose of this is to allow for all the illnesses and other crises which crop up in a student's life.

There is no need for excuses or doctors' notes, etc.
We do not accept any late homework.

The problems about complex numbers in the first assignment are from:

SFU Bookstore Custom Courseware: Chapter 1 (22 pages) of Complex Variables and Applications by R.Churchill and J. Brown .

All other problems are from the exercises in your text book (Edwards & Penney).

We will be posting solutions in a somewhat secure area of this Web-Site. We will make the homework solutions available in pdf format.

Answers for all odd-numbered exercises in Edwards and Penney can be found at the Solutions Page at www.edwardspenney.com.
