Math 416 --- Term Project

Due: Monday, December 2, 2002, IN CLASS

Please note the deadline has been extended to Monday, December 2!

Revised Term project handout.

Please note that more parts of the project have been declared optional. You are not expected to do all or even any optional parts of the project.

You are encouraged to work in groups of at most three (3) students (no exceptions), but you are free to choose to work on your own, or in smaller groups. It is sufficient to hand in one copy per group.

Presentation

Hand in an 8½" x 11" booklet, stapled in the upper left corner. Structure your paper like a report, with title, abstract or "executive summary" and "technical summary", overview of the methods used, description of the building blocks. Describe the basic structure of your programs, and include the program listings in an appendix. Present your numerical results in condendsed form, using tables and/or graphs. Include pictures and plots where appropriate. You MUST keep your report to at most 15 pages (including appendices, etc.), using a minimum of 11pt (or 10cpi) size print.

Programs

Use double precision. Write your programs in modular form (easier to debug, and easier to reuse bits and pieces). Include plots.

Warning

There will be deductions if you hand in more than 15 pages. No late projects will be accepted.
