Applications
We invite motivated undergraduate students with an interest in discrete math, number theory, and related areas to apply. A suitable applicant must have successfully completed courses in calculus, linear algebra, and basic discrete math, and should be able to demonstrate mathematical maturity as evidenced by performance in higher math courses, or by past research projects. Attendance will be restricted to at most 30 well-qualified participants.
Accepted students may, but are not required to, take the course component of the program for credit.
Required Documents
- A letter of intent from the applicant. This should describe why the applicant is motivated to attend this program (1 page maximum.)
- A current transcript.
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member at the home institution of the applicant.
All documents should be in English or French.
Deadlines
For non-SFU students wishing to take the course for credit the deadline to apply for the program is December 2, 2013.
The final deadline for participation in the program (without credit for a non-SFU student or with credit for an SFU student) is March 31, 2014.
